Well-Being Programs for Employers, Organizations, and Communities

According to a 2022 Milken Institute Health Literacy Report, only 12% of U.S. adults have proficient health literacy. When people have access to accurate, easy-to-use and easy-to-understand information, they can protect and promote their health by adopting healthy behaviors and following healthcare recommendations. Additionally, 80% of healthcare happens outside of clinical walls, and 70% of preventable illness is due to unhealthy lifestyle practices.

Today’s leaders are looking for wellness strategies that deliver impact. Improving health and well-being delivers dividends many times over through optimizing health — increasing productivity, driving innovation, and expanding engagement.

Each Food as Medicine Program includes 2 food demonstrations of healthy recipes related to the topic and an interactive label reading activity.
