Move More with Lifestyle Activity
-
Today’s teens are often just as sedentary as 60 year olds.
-
Increased lifestyle activity can reduce chronic pain.
-
On average, dog owners walk 22 minutes more per day.
-
Activity in the late afternoon boosts energy by 20% for the “second shift”.
Lifestyle activity is referred to as NEAT or non-exercise activity thermogenesis. Big words that mean physical actions resulting from daily living. Taking the dog for a walk, carrying your basket of groceries, parking farther from the entrance at work, taking the stairs, vacuuming, and gardening — are all examples of NEAT or Lifestyle Activity.
